Child Safety Standards

The Loop — Kids Clothing Swap · Effective July 23, 2026

The Loop is a neighborhood clothing swap app operated by The Loop LLC that helps parents pass along kids' clothing. The app is designed for and used by adults — parents, guardians, and caregivers — and although its subject matter is children's clothing, it is not directed at children and children do not create or use accounts. These standards describe how we prevent, detect, and respond to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on our platform.

Zero tolerance for CSAE

We prohibit any content or behavior that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers children, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, and any attempt to use the app to contact or harm a minor. Violations result in immediate content removal and permanent account termination, and are reported to the appropriate authorities as described below.

Our standards

Adults only. Users must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. The app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
No photos of children. Item listings must not include photographs in which children are visible. All item photos must depict the clothing item only.
No personal information about children. Listings and messages must not include children's names or other identifying details.
Prohibited content. Our policies ban nudity and sexually explicit material, harassment, threats, and illegal content of any kind, anywhere in the app — listings, photos, profiles, and messages.

In-app reporting and moderation

Every listing and every conversation in the app has a built-in report action, so any user can flag content or behavior directly from where they see it, without leaving the app. Users can also block other users, and can reach us any time through the in-app Support feature or by email. All reports go to our team, are reviewed, and receive appropriate enforcement action — content removal, warnings, suspension, or permanent account termination.

Reporting to authorities

If we become aware of apparent CSAM or child sexual exploitation on the platform, we preserve the relevant material as required by law and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the appropriate law enforcement authorities. We comply with applicable child safety laws, including mandatory reporting obligations, and we cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.

Our designated child safety contact is support@itstheloop.com. This inbox is monitored, and child-safety reports are prioritized. Anyone — users, parents, or authorities — can use it to report a concern about child safety on The Loop.
